Thursday 26th Sept: Demonstration at Northamptonshire County Council Full Council Meeting over Changes to Terms and Conditions
Staff at the County Council have been forced on to inferior terms and conditions, and as from September onwards will not be paid for the first 3 days of sickness absence. This is a further cut following the Pay and Benefits
project in 2011 where staff lost their essential car users allowance and some staff were downgraded on to lower pay. Also there has been a pathetic 1% pay rise after 3 years of frozen pay!
The Unison branch at the council are organising a demonstration outside Full Council on Thursday 26th September. This
will be between 9 – 10am, in front of County Hall. Support from other unions would be appreciated. Further information to be released a week before the demo.
